Interesting facts about me

Hi, I'm not really a computer geek (sorry geeks) and do not know what RAM is or a C drive and I'm very confused by this yuku stuff and haven't a clue what avatar' means, but I got it as I'm a fan of the TW series. I'm 18. I'm from the south east of England in Kent, I'm 1/4 Dutch from my Grandad and 1/8 Canadian from my greatgrandad and German as well fom what I hear so I guess im some sort of war baby, I'm on a gap year before I go to university to study History and Philosophy. I look like, well, I'm the the guy in photos so thats me. I would have to say that I'm an atheist as I think religion is incredibly contradictory and hypocritical, I don't agree with any politicians and think they are generally useless. I love socialising with my friends, going to London, bars, ridiculously expensive clubs and all that, Swedish females - especially when you have Cristal poured all over you, snowboarding , history, travelling, scuba diving, sports - mainly rugby, foreign cultures and the funny accents if they have one and reading.
Feel free to send me a message, either about TW or about anything else that floats yor boat, except that is, whats my RAM..

They get automatically updated to your game when you open up steam. However, this only happens once they release the patch and that hasn't been done yet.
    Hope I've helped. image

    Howdy Tim
Hows you doing? I had to stop playing my campaign as England and the UP has the BAI is just not up to the job.
I were just in the middle of writing another thread on missing game features then decided its probably best to actually write CA a letter, so how are you finding it so far?

    Best Wishes

Oh right, I'm playing on normal too, I think I heard CA advised us to for the moment. I have seen the film yeah, its excellent - Brad Pitt who you normally think is just some A-list cheesy actor was brilliant. The campaign is going well, I'm playing a new one as Spain... the AI is alot more aggresive, United Provinces and I are really slugging it out, the French decided to turn up too and carry out raids in their lands so its good to see my allies doing something. Im also having quite a savage war in Italy, Im having to send alot of troops over there to fight off the central Italian states and the Austrians have decided to make a presence too. Still haven't seen an enemy fleet with troops on it though! How is yours going? Tim.

I have no idea, sounds same as mine, we both have a 2G memory system. But not sure about everything else, maybe post your specs on one of the forums where someone can confirm if you will be able to play or not.

I don't think the South could have seriously won the war without outside intervention. I also think, that had the South won independence, its economic system would have doomed it.

My sentiments exactly, the north was fighting as if it one hand behind its back - it had every advantage, from population size, to the economy. If the south had won an awful lot more battles - and i mean an awful lot more, then the north would have simply brought its other hand out to fight and built more and more mass produced armies with equipment galore. I don't think that foreign i.e. British or French intervention was ever a possibility though. If Britain did show support for the CSA because the CSA was holding the cotton back, then Britain would have been at war with the union, risked losing its territories in Canada, lost its most valuable trading partner, put other possessions in the Americas at risk, faced a joint french American alliance and for what? I few lousy bails of cotton?

I re-enact the American Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, as well as the American Civil War. In the American Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, I am a British Fusilier. In the Civil War I am a Confederate artilleryman. Playing with full-sized canons (some original) is awesome! I do between 10 and 15 events a year.

That sounds like great fun! I was going to ask how many of the weapons you use are authentic or not..
Just a historical question for you, Do you think that The South ever had a chanve of winning the war?

I took some required history courses, but only 2 or 3.

Most of my history knowledge is just from reading and studying on my own initiative. I like it that way - in a class I have to study what the professor says. On my own, I can study whatever I want and ignore the boring stuff. :)
